1. Who we are

Smart Strix is operated by SMART TAURUS LTD and is part of the Smart Taurus Group. We are the data controller for personal data processed via Smart Strix (including Strix AI), the Strix mobile app driver side, and the Strix Job Marketplace.

2. What data we collect

Identity and contact data (name, email, phone, company details).
Account data (role, permissions, settings, verification documents).
Job data (pickup/delivery info, photos, logistics metadata, bids/quotes in the marketplace).
Device and usage data (sessions, logs, IP, browser, approximate and precise location during live tracking for active jobs).
Payment and payout metadata (via Stripe and Stripe Connect; we do not store full card numbers).

3. Why we use your data (lawful bases)

Contract: to provide the Platform (accounts, jobs, quotes, invoicing, Strix AI features, marketplace).
Legitimate interests: to secure, improve, and support the Platform.
Legal obligations: compliance, fraud prevention, record‑keeping.
Consent: certain marketing communications, where required.

4. Drivers and Live GPS

Live GPS tracking is enabled during active jobs (e.g., Advanced plans). Businesses must ensure drivers are informed and, where required, provide consent. Tracking is limited to legitimate operational purposes.

5. Sharing

We use trusted processors: Stripe/Stripe Connect (payments/payouts), maps/geocoding providers, realtime messaging (e.g., Ably), email/SMS, and hosting/database providers. Data may be transferred outside the UK/EEA with appropriate safeguards (e.g., SCCs).

6. Retention

We retain data as long as necessary for the purposes above, including legal retention and dispute resolution. Certain records (e.g., invoices) may be retained to meet financial/regulatory obligations.

7. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection (including to direct marketing).
Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
Lodge a complaint with the ICO (UK) or your local supervisory authority.
